DO I NEED HIGH-EFFICIENCY, HIGH-DENSITY, GENERAL PURPOSE OR BASIC?

Basic access points are best suited for small, low-density deployments – think fewer than 30 clients. Basic models are great value options for small offices and entry-level deployments.

A location with more than 30 clients qualifies as high density. High-efficiency models have a high frame rate. These models achieve higher throughput, even for high-density environments.

Most other deployments, such as standard offices, fall under general purpose.

WHAT MAKES ACCESS POINTS RUGGEDIZED?

Ruggedized access points work both indoors and outdoors and can withstand exposure to the elements, including salt spray, extreme heat, dust, vibration and shock. Ruggedized access points are great for outdoor campuses, parks, industrial and manufacturing deployments, and other harsh environments.
